‘Soapstone’ sculptures represent the rich cultural heritage of the Inuit, their traditions, beliefs and myths. Their striking imagery, most often representing humans or animals, are related directly to both the Inuit’s physical and spiritual world as well as representing a way of life that has been passed down for generations.
